I am a news artist and editor with more than 20 years’ experience in every aspect of the newspaper business. But I've held enough non-newspaper jobs to keep things in perspective.
My goal is to produce graphics that look beneath the surface of objects, processes and events to reveal and explain their hidden workings to readers. In the pursuit of this goal I have covered riots, examined crime scenes, crawled inside NASA spacecraft and flown in military jets.
I've come a long way since leaving my native Cincinnati, including stops in Alabama, Chicago, Philadelphia and Cleveland.
